2XU Women’s Triathlon – 28th February 2010
The Women’s Triathlon has grown to be the largest and most successful women’s only triathlon in Australia. Over the 19 years the Women’s Triathlon has been running, it has prided itself on presenting a friendly and enjoyable experience for women of all ages. Our aim is to promote the physically active lifestyle to women, in a non intimidating environment. This positive atmosphere that we aim to provide at the Women’s Triathlon, only adds to the credibility of this successful event.
In 2007 and 2008, the Women’s Triathlon reached maximum participant numbers and in 2009 the decision was made to move away from the traditional location of Matilda Bay to a new and exciting location, Hillary’s. The new location allows for larger participation numbers and consequently in 2009 produced the biggest participation field (1100) ever recorded at the Women’s Triathlon.
With increasing numbers each year, the Women’s Triathlon reaches a large range of participants, including first time triathletes. The experience they receive is of the highest standard and promotes new opportunities for women to become physically active.
Esther Foundation
The 2XU Women's Triathlon has been a significant event for women in the WA community and in it's 20th year will take on a new partner.

In 2010 the Esther Foundation a not for profit organisation which operates a program for young women aged 14-35 wanting to get their lives back on track will join the Women's Triathlon in a bid to provide support for the WA community.
The program provides support and accommodation for young women to overcome issues relating from substance abuse, self-harm, family breakdown, domestic violence, sexual abuse and mental health problems - in a safe and structured environment. The Esther Foundation Recovery Program aims to empower and enrich young women with self-worth, skills and the confidence to lead successful lives within the community.
We are calling upon entrants and friends of the Women's Triathlon to support the Esther Foundation and consider making a donation to support a group that helps so many young women in the WA community.

2XU Women’s Triathlon First Timer Training Day 2010
For all those who have never competed in a triathlon, this is your opportunity! “What’s it like swimming in open water surrounded by a hundred people and how do I survive!”, “how do I change a flat tyre?” and “what does transition mean?” Get the answers and more at the 2XU Women’s Triathlon First Timer Training Day.
Whether you know it or not, just over 50% of participants in the Women’s Triathlon are competing for the very first time. Everybody is different and aspects of the event can appear daunting when you aren’t familiar with what is expected.
To combat this, TriEvents will be conducting an afternoon where you will have the chance to be coached by expert staff, run through all three disciplines of the event and you can feel free to ask those questions you might be too scared to ask in any other forum! The best part is that it will be conducted at the actual site of your event, Hillarys Beach, in and around an actual triathlon set-up.
