Please Note:

  • A Team is considered either two or three people competing as one; one person completes the swim, one person completes the cycle and one completes the run. You may have a team of two, where one person completes the swim and the other completes the cycle and run (or any combination).
  • TWA Members are those who have a Triathlon Western Australia Membership; if you do not have a TWA Membership, the extra cost (non member price) pays for a day license so you are covered for insurance purposes.
  • A Junior entrant is any girl under the age of 19 on the event day 19/2/2012.

Additional Fees:

  • Offline entries will have a $5 administration fee applied.
  • Late Entries: Only online entries will be accepted after midnight on Wednesday 15th February 2012 and will incur a $10 late fee.
  • Race Day Entries will NOT be available. the last chance for participants to enter is at the pack collection day on Saturday 18th February 2012.
  • Lost Timing Band Fee of $40 will apply in the event that you do not return your timing band given to you at registration (a window of 10 days following the event is allowed for you to return your timing band if you forget to do it at the event).

ENTRY CONDITIONS

  • Entry fees are non refundable.
  • In the event that you are injured and cannot race, a refund will be given (minus a $10 administration fee) if you withdraw prior to 9am Monday 6th February 2012. To receive a refund you mustprovide a doctor's certificate (or equivalent). All refunds will be processed after the event.
  • No refund will be given if you are simply no longer able to attend or if the event is cancelled due to bad weather or other 'acts of god'.
  • Changes to registration can be made via email only to info@trievents.com.au. Changes will be accepted without charge until 5pm on Friday 3rd February 2012. Changes after this date can be made with a $10 administration fee. (Changes to a longer distance will include the upgrade fee of the difference in price of the two events; change to a shorter distance will receive no refund and still incur a $10 administration fee)

Entry into the Training Course includes the following:

  • Three training sessions per week (one swim, one cycle and one run)
  • Entry in to Aquatic Centres at Arena Joondalup and Challenge Stadium (participants of the training course will be provided with a 6 session entry card to the appropriate aquatic centre)
  • Breakfast and Nutrition Seminar
  • Bike Maintenance, Shoe Selection, Stretching and Injury Prevention Talks
  • Triathlon Top to wear when you compete in the Women’s Triathlon
  • Entry into the Women’s Triathlon

TRAINING COURSE REFUND AND CHANGE POLICY

  • A full refund (less 10% admin fee) will be given if you withdraw prior to the application closing date of Wednesday 28th December 2011.
  • A refund of the fee less 30% will apply if you withdraw after 28th December but prior to the start of the course.
  • If you withdraw within the first 3 weeks of the course, a 50% refund will be given but only upon receipt of a doctor's certificate.
  • You are advised to take out your own personal accident insurance if you are not a member of TWA (Triathlon Western Australia).
  • Bikes must be mechanically sound and helmets must be Australian Standard approved. You will not be permitted to take part in the cycle if a coach deems your bike to be unroadworthy. If you are in doubt take your bike to your local bike shop for a safety check.
  • Confirmation of your session times and additional information on what you need to bring will be sent out directly by Venues West one week prior to the beginning of the course.
  • Due to the course being fully booked we ask that you stay in the sessions you have chosen for the duration of the course. If you are unable to attend one of your allocated sessions, unfortunately you cannot make it up in another session. Please contact us if this poses a major problem.
